A Little Drive with Mom

A Visit to the Daffodils in the Skagit Valley.

It wasn’t the best day for a drive, however it was a light traffic day which worked out. We didn’t have to park and walk to see things, we could do it from the side of the road.

We started with nice trip up Highway 9 to start out our adventure. Then headed through Mt. Vernon and out to the Daffodil fields. There wasn’t a lot out this year. I wonder if it has to do with COVID for workers, or they just don’t anticipate a lot of people. Perhaps we were early? The Tulips look like they are next.

A visit to Anacortes proper, followed by a drive out and around Washington Park. I have never been there before and it was a lovely drive with lots of very nice viewpoints of the San Juan Islands.

Late lunch at The Farmhouse. This was one of Great Grandma’s favorite places to go to get roasted Turkey.
